Hello there, fellow danmei fans! I’m Elle from Queens Love Books, and I’m the person behind this little Danmei Recap site.Just to say it upfront, I don’t earn anything from this. This isn’t a business or a side hustle. It’s just something I do because I genuinely love it.I’ve loved reading since I was a kid, but life got busy and I slowly drifted away from it. Then in 2016, a friend of mine got back into reading and lent me a book. That one small thing brought everything back. By 2017, I was reading again and even started collecting books.In 2020, I got into manga collecting, though I still picked up novels every now and then. Then in 2021, I watched The Untamed and read the MDZS manhua. I became obsessed almost instantly. At the time, I didn’t even know the novel had an official release coming.Then 2022 happened.While browsing for books, I came across Heaven Official’s Blessing. I found out it was by the same author as MDZS, so of course I ordered it. What I didn’t realize was that I was buying the novel, not the manhua. When it arrived, I was a bit confused and honestly struggled at first because the world and lore felt overwhelming.But once it clicked, it really clicked.I got completely hooked. I started buying all the danmei releases from Seven Seas that were available, then moved on to other publishers like Peach Flower House, Rosmei, and Via Lactea. What started as curiosity turned into something I genuinely love, and I don’t think I’m stopping anytime soon.The only problem is my memory is terrible.I kept forgetting what happened in earlier volumes whenever a new one came out. So I started writing summaries in a Google Doc just for myself, so I could quickly catch up before reading the next volume. It helped a lot. Later on, I realized I wasn’t the only one struggling with this, so I started sharing my notes.At some point, I thought, why not make a site for this?And that’s how this recap site came to be.I run everything on my own during my free time. Sometimes my sister helps me with small things, but that’s it. I also pay for everything out of my own pocket. It does take time, effort, and money, especially since I also work and need time to actually read. But honestly, if this helps even just one person, that already makes me really happy.I’m not asking for anything in return. But if you can, I hope you’ll support the original books and the authors who created these stories we all love.
